- A preserved member who left pensionable employment before their normal retirement date but who now has reached pensionable age and is eligible to receive a pension.
- A widow or widower who receives a pension on the death of a member of the scheme.
- A child who receives a pension on the death of a member of the scheme or a nominated person who receives a pension on behalf of the child (a parent or guardian).
